ABOUT EMMA & RUSSELL
We live in Charlton Kings with our family. We were both in the corporate world of events & hospitality for 25 years before turning our attention to our real passion of dogs.

Hounds & Hunters has been running since 2019.
​
We want to provide the best dog walking, day care & boarding service you can find in Cheltenham. We want to care for every dog as if they were our own & as part of our family. ​ We learn about their individual characters, unravel what makes them happy, keep them engaged, maximise fitness & create a safe space to unwind & cuddle up at the end of the day.

We want to provide a reliable, positive, friendly service that really cares about making each walk or stay great fun.

SERVICES
WILD PACK WALKS
​
We offer wild pack walks every weekday between 9.00 & 15.00 (scheduled times will vary)
All dogs will be picked up & dropped off.
All packs will be carefully organised based on temperament, age, agility & obedience. Dogs placed in pack walks must have basic level of training.
Pack walks can be on or off the lead (based on the owners request). No more than 4 dogs will be on each pack walk to enable me to give each individual the attention they require.

PUPPY / HOME VISITS
​
We can pop in to visit your dog once or twice a day between 9.00am-15.00pm (weekdays only)
These visits are ideal for puppies, elderly dogs or bitches in season.​ Each visit will consist of a toilet break (in the garden or nearby park), feeding, replenishing water, cleaning up any accidents & most importantly, giving them lots of attention & cuddles.
If these are puppy visits it gives us an ideal opportunity to build a good relationship with your puppy before potentially taking them on short walks & finally joining in on the pack walks.

DAY CARE
​
Day care is available every week day between 7.30am & 6.00pm
Drop off's & pick up's are preferred for day care dogs. Alternative arrangements can be arranged on request depending on location.

We refer to our day care centre as The Dog House. It is our family home & is very much focused on being a working home rather than a traditional kennel set up. We strive to make all our guests feel as comfortable as they would at home.
The dogs have free rein off our kitchen, laundry, dinning room, garden & a purpose built dog cabin/room which is fully heated with wifi, electrics and dog only sofa's (humans must sit on the floor !!). We have a grass area, a stone area, a woodland area & an agility area with wood barked floor. It is securely fenced so no one can escape into our neighbours gardens or Timbercombe / Ravensgate Hill behind U !!!!!
We still do wild pack walks with the day care dogs but they get the added bonus of being able to play games, seek out the treat, try out some agility and cuddle on the sofa with back at the Dog House also. They will have at least 1 walk and depending on the time they spend at day care maybe more.
We ensure that the dogs also have some well deserved down time & personal space to relax & sleep.
There is always a member of the team (or a couple depending on numbers) onsite to ensure that dogs are never left alone and have consistent supervision.

SLEEPOVERS
​
Sleepovers are available for 45 weeks of the year.
Drop off's & pick up's are preferred for boarding dogs. Alternative arrangements can be arranged on request depending on location.

NOTES IN REGARDS TO ALL DOG WALKS
Before we leave, water bowls will be checked.
Your dog will return happy & tired after an excellent workout. They may also be rather muddy. We have a portable Karcher Power Spray & Mud Daddy in both van's to wash the dogs down as much as possible. We also carry towels to get the worst of the water/muck off as possible, but please bear with us & our British weather !!! We are not dog groomers.

USEFUL INFORMATION

​​All dogs will travel on of our 2 Van's . Each dog has its own individual crate for their own safety

Hounds & Hunters will pick up dogs living in Cheltenham area for walks

All dogs ​should be up to date with vaccinations, worming & flea treatments

All dogs to have a collar with a name badge with your contact details (in line with the road traffic act of 1988)​

If you decide that Hounds & Hunters is the right company to walk your precious friend, we will ask you to fill out a questionnaire to make sure we have all the details in regards to what your dog likes, dislikes etc

We will provide you with a Dog Walking Service Agreement, Dog Walking Booking Form, Dog Walking Report Card, Off Lead Disclaimer, Key Release Form
