At Hounds & Hunters, we believe clear communication and thoughtful boundaries are part of providing excellent care.

More detailed documents, such as insurance certificates, licences and membership information, are shared privately with clients once a booking moves forward.

Please take a moment to read through the sections below.

If your dog becomes unwell while in our care, we will contact you or your nominated emergency contact as soon as reasonably possible.

If your dog is found to have fleas, ticks or another contagious parasite while in our care, we may contact you and require the dog to be collected.

Behaviour and Temperament

Where dogs are walked, boarded or cared for together, you acknowledge that there is a risk of normal dog-to-dog interaction, including play, minor injuries and disagreements.

We will take reasonable precautions to manage dogs appropriately but cannot guarantee that an injury or incident will never occur.

Where appropriate, dogs may be separated or otherwise managed to reduce risks.

Interaction With Other Dogs

If your dog becomes ill or injured while in our care and we believe veterinary attention is required, we will make reasonable efforts to contact you or your emergency contact.

If we cannot reach you promptly, you authorise us to seek veterinary treatment that we reasonably consider necessary for your dog's welfare.

You are responsible for veterinary fees and associated costs incurred on your dog's behalf, except where such costs arise through our negligence or other circumstances for which we are legally responsible.

We may administer medication where this has been agreed in advance.

You must provide clear written instructions and the medication in its original packaging where reasonably possible.
We cannot guarantee that medication will be administered where doing so would be unsafe or impractical.

We are not responsible for adverse reactions to medication where it has been administered in accordance with the information and instructions provided by you, except where we are legally responsible.

Medication

You should provide sufficient food for the duration of your dog's stay where we have agreed that you will supply the food.

You must tell us about any allergies, intolerances or dietary restrictions.
